GO Logic to present at the 2014 International Passive House Conference
We are thrilled to share the news that GO Logic has been selected to present our work at the Passive House Institute’s 18th Annual International Passive House Conference in Aachen, Germany on April 26th. GO Logic principal Matthew O’Malia will be presenting “Design/Build/Refine/Repeat: A Systems Approach for Passive House Construction in North America”. Here is an excerpt from the abstract:
“GO Logic’s standard shell details are similar from project to project: slab on grade foundation, hybrid structural insulated wall panels, triple glazed windows and doors, and a trussed roof assembly with high levels of insulation. That said, with each iteration, the details have evolved slightly: the installation process is modified, the materials altered, the final product refined. This is the iterative process of design/build delivery, as builders in the field provide a feedback loop to architects in the office. Proposed changes to any of the components are drawn, tested, built, assessed, and (ideally) improved upon.” In addition to presenting at the Passive House Conference, Matt and Alan look forward to attending several of the lectures and presentations by the world’s leading experts in the fields of Passive House design and construction, and applying the knowledge gained to future GO Logic projects.
