NAPHN14 Conference
The North American Passive House Network (NAPHN) is going to hold it’s inaugural international Passive House conference in Portland Maine in just a few weeks! The conference will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of September with the Keynote address by the founding director of the Passive House Institute, Dr. Wolfgang Feist. Matthew O’Malia will give a presentation on the recently completed University of Chicago Warren Woods Ecological Field Station – the first Passive House Certified laboratory in North America. The presentation will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of high internal heat gains in a high performance building.
The conference will provide a rare opportunity in North America for international collaboration and education that draws from a wide range of experiences of those designing and building Passive House performance buildings throughout the world. GO Logic is excited to be hosting NAPHN 14 Passive House tours in the Portland and Belfast area on Wednesday September 24th. This will be a great opportunity to see a near Passive House home in Southern Maine, or to get a tour of the high performance Ecovillage homes in Belfast, Maine.
