GO Lab in the Spotlight
Our R&D company, GO Lab, has advanced to the semifinal round in the televised business pitch contest Greenlight Maine. Company president Josh Henry appeared on the most recent episode, pitching GOLab’s wood fiber-based insulation boards, which we hope to manufacture in Maine.
A local version of ABC’s startup-competition program Shark Tank, Greenlight features two entrepreneurs each week in an elimination pitch-off. Josh won his round, impressing the judges with GOLab’s vision of leveraging Maine’s natural resources and forest products expertise to produce a cost-effective, sustainable replacement for foam insulation boards—the first product of its type manufactured in North America.
Watch the video below to see the current episode (Josh’s segment begins at 2:30), then stayed tuned. In the next round of Greenlight, scheduled for June 2, Josh will compete for one of three finalist slots and the chance to win $100,000 of investment capital in the June 30 season finale.
