GO Logic Projects Featured in Passive House Detailing Guide
GO Logic didn’t write the book on Passive House, but we have made a pioneering contribution, designing and constructing some of the first Passive House-standard buildings in North America. Now some of those same buildings are in the book—literally. Passive House Details: Solutions for High-Performance Design (Routledge, 2018) uses three GO Logic houses to help represent the state of the art in Passive House design and construction.
This clearly written, exhaustively illustrated textbook is aimed at architects and builders who want to get Passive House right, and we’re proud to have been included. The field continues to develop, and there many never be a last word on these matters, but authors Donald B. Corner, Jan C. Fillinger, and Alison Kwok have produced the nearest thing we’ve seen to a definitive guide to current best practices.
At GO Logic, we approach every project as an opportunity to improve building performance and cost-effectiveness, but we generally measure progress one building at a time. By communicating our work to a broad audience of our fellow practitioners, this book has the potential to multiply our impact on the field, accelerating industry-wide adoption of the advanced practices that are our stock-in-trade.
